Police Hunt Suspect in East Village Attempted Rape | NBC New York

Police are looking for a man they say attempted to rape a woman in the East Village early Sunday morning.
Authorities said the suspect followed the 27-year-old victim into her building on 1st Avenue at about 3 a.m., pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her.
The victim fought him off and he fled the scene.
Police released surveillance video of the suspect, shown above.
